The right gutter profile depends on your crop, substrate format, and drainage requirements. Key factors are gutter width (to fit your slabs or pots), drain channel design (to keep substrate and leafs out of the recirculation system), load capacity (especially for heavy crops like tomato), and coating (for cleaning resistance and long service life). Tomato growers typically use hanging growing gutters such as the GM-07HD. Pepper and aubergine often use similar profiles with adjusted irrigation. Cucumber requires gutters with high drainage capacity due to the crop's high water uptake. Contact our team to discuss the right specification for your situation.

Growing gutters
Steel growing gutters form the foundation of greenhouse vegetable growing systems. Our gutters are made of the highest quality steel and consist of multiple coating layers. The gutters allow you to recirculate drain water, to reduce the use of water and fertiliser, improve crop hygiene and improve the climate.
With over 35 types of gutters, we can design and deliver a tailor-made growing solution for every possible type of vegetable cultivation.
Irrigation
High quality irrigation forms the foundation for strong, uniform crop growth. Our pre-assembled drip systems, in-line solutions, and durable PE components are designed for efficiency and reliability. They can be seamlessly integrated into complete greenhouse growing systems for your vegetable crops.

Suspensions and supports
To integrate your growing gutters into the greenhouse, we offer a wide range of suspended systems and supports. We create custom suspensions for every crop, testing each one to carry the full weight of the loaded gutters. Supplied in tailored lengths, each suspension includes a trellis or tunnel attachment, steel cable, gutter hook, and bracket.
Our galvanised supports raise the height of your gutters and handle high loads in greenhouses or tunnels. They can be installed on the floor or concrete and combined with bay-wide or pipe rail supports. Ask our specialists for the setup that fits your crop best.
Gable systems
Strong, stable support is essential for every growing system. Our gable systems and V-suspensions are designed to keep growing gutters perfectly in place, even at the edges of the greenhouse. They are easy to adjust, fit any setup, and make sure every meter of your installation performs at its best.
End and side gable systems
Mounted to the greenhouse column, these height-adjustable frames support the ends of the gutters. They can also carry a gable gutter, plus distribution or collection pipes — keeping everything neat and accessible.
V-shaped and semi-V suspensions
Where a gutter extends more than 75 cm beyond the first suspension, a V- or semi-V bracket adds an extra support point. Placed near the central aisle or on the end gable, they free up wall space and create a clear walkway in the greenhouse.
Drain trays & options
To complete your vegetable growing system you can choose from a wide variety of drain trays, end caps, brackets and supports. All of these parts are custom made in our factory in The Netherlands and can be fully tailored to your needs.

A complete greenhouse vegetable growing system consists of six main components: growing gutters (to carry the substrate and crop), drip irrigation (to deliver water and nutrients to each plant), suspensions or floor supports (to hold the gutters at the correct working height), gable systems (to support gutter ends at the greenhouse edges), drain trays (to collect and return drain water), and end caps with finishing hardware. These components are designed to work together: the gutter profile determines the suspension spacing, the irrigation type, and the drain tray configuration. Ordering them as a matched system from one supplier reduces the risk of misaligned specifications.
In many cases, yes. Gutter profiles designed for high-wire tomato cultivation can also be used for pepper and aubergine. However, the irrigation layout, dripper spacing, and drain capacity may need to be adjusted per crop. It is worth reviewing the specification if you plan to switch crops, especially if water uptake or substrate format changes.
Service life depends on the steel grade, coating quality, and cleaning regime. A high-quality coated gutter like those with MS-150 coating is designed for long-term use and comes with a 10-year coating warranty. In practice, well-maintained gutters can remain in service well beyond the warranty period. If your cleaning regime is less intensive, you can also choose our MS-35 coating which comes with a warranty of 6 years.
