Hydroponic Floating Rafts
Efficient hydroponic cultivation starts with the right foundation. Developed and refined together with innovative growers, Meteor floating rafts meet all requirements for profitable water-based cultivation and offer several unique features.
Key benefits of our rafts
- Durable floating rafts with smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces
- Made from food-safe High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
- Suitable for Deep Water Culture (DWC), Ebb & Flow and Nutrient Film Technique (NFT)
- Available in a wide range of densities, from 24 up to 280 planting holes per m²
- Designed for both manual and automated hydroponic systems
Unique X-hole planting hole
A key feature of our floating rafts is the X-shaped planting hole. This unique geometry allows air and CO₂ to flow directly along the plant plug and root zone, supporting healthy root development, a stable microclimate and uniform growth. The design also makes it easy to remove plants without damaging roots, even in high-density setups.
Compared to traditional round planting holes, the X-hole design contributes to more stable growing conditions and improved crop performance across a wide range of leafy greens and herbs.
New: 140-hole floating raft
To meet the growing demand for higher productivity per square metre, we're introducing the new 140-hole floating raft. This high-density raft features 140 X-shaped planting holes, enabling a total of 280 plants per m².
The result: significantly higher planting density while maintaining optimal root aeration, uniform growth and reliable crop quality. The 140-hole raft is fully compatible with existing water-based cultivation systems and suited for both greenhouse and indoor farming environments.
